On the 19th of August KAT-O will host their monthly #TechTalkCPT at 75 Harrington Street in District Six. According to the press release, the talk has been titled Makers and Innovators and will run in tandem with Open Fair and Maker Faire Cape Town.

This month #TechTalkCPT will be hosting talks from Popular Mechanics Inventor of the Year 2014, Omar-Pierre Soubra (Maker Faire and Sketchup) and joining him will be Greg Aberdeen from BeePak.

These two heavyweights will be talking about their experiences, the trials and triumphs of being a maker and the potential the maker industry holds for ordinary citizens.

Seating is limited to 100 people, and each attendee will receive a voucher to redeem at Wahine Food Truck who have partnered with #TechTalkCPT for this edition of the talk. For those with hearing impairments, Jazz Hands will be attending to interpret the event.
