Nick is in Cologne, Germany at the moment attending the annual gaming blowout that is Gamescom, and he is joined Adam and Deon via Skype for a lively 20-minute session in which he shares a little of what he’s seen so far.

The new Homefront: The Revolution is looking surprisingly good, apparently, with its guerrilla warfare that encourages hit and run tactics; Sony is getting a lot of interest from punters who are lining up to see the new Uncharted despite them not putting on a show this year, and Nick talks a little about Blizzard’s showing which included all sorts of juicy details about Hearthstone and its upcoming expansion.

There’s tons more to hear over 20 minutes or so, so tune in and give the podcast a listen.

Deon got his first taste of PC gaming at the tender age of 11 when his father bought an 8088 XT, ostensibly to "help him with his homework". Instead, it introduced him to Leisure Suit Larry, King Graham, Sonny Bonds and many more, and Deon has been a PC gamer and hardware enthusiast ever since. He landed his first professional writing gig in 2006 at a prestigious local PC magazine, a very happy happenstance as he got to write for a living about things he loves - tech, PCs, gaming, and everything in between. He's been writing about it all ever since, and loves every minute of it.
