Here’s how to enter the South African ICT Awards

In July, the South African Communications Forum (SACF) announced the return of South African ICT Awards after being discontinued in 2008, and now you can nominate yourself or someone you know is deserving of recognition for their work in ICT.

Awards will be given to individuals in the following categories:

  • Entrepreneurship and Small business
  • Community Development
  • Local Content Production
  • Innovation
  • Future Leader
  • Women in ICT
  • Honorary Lifetime Achievers Award
  • Innovation for Africa Award

Nominations must submitted on the SACF website and must explain the nominee’s contribution, benefit and positive impact on society, challenges faced and how these challenges were overcome in order for the nominee to be recognised as a leader.

Nominations close on 4th September.

“The organisers of the ICT Achievers Awards are looking forward to receiving a good number of high quality nominations based on the excellent calibre of individuals currently achieving in the ICT and Broadcast sectors,” said SACF Chairperson Lucky Masilela.

The awards gala dinner on 2nd October at the Vodacom World Dome in Midrand. Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services’ minister Siyabonga Cwele will be the keynote speaker for the evening.
