SA startups! Get big name help with your code app.clinic() at Leaderex ’15

South African startups, are you struggling with getting your app or system to a global standard? Ever wish you could sit down with a senior engineer or UX designer to analyze, troubleshoot and optimise your app so that’s it can scale to handle millions of users?

Here’s your chance to get exactly that: an hour long, face-to-face session with experienced software professionals from Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, University of Johannesburg, Jumping Bean, Standard Bank and more for a unique and highly valuable code and design diagnoses that will take your app to the next level.

This is a personal, practical and hands-on way to fast tracking the design quality of your app – a truly unmissable opportunity, we’d say.

On September 17th (between 5PM and 10PM), JoziHub, htxt.africa and a number of partners will be hosting the first app.clinic() at Leaderex ’15 at the Sandton Convention Centre with one aim and one aim only; to help fast track 24 software development startups from good to great.

The app.clinic() will be a troubleshooting session that provides you with practical advice for navigating through some of your design and development issues.

The session will be facilitated by 16 of South Africa’s finest senior developers and UX designers from multinational and national software houses. If you’re a software developer who has built a software system (mobile, web or IoT) and you want to make sure that your code and design is the best it can be, then apply now to be a part of this session.

And now the bad news: we’ll only be selecting 24 software development project teams to attend the app.clinic(). Each chosen project will be paired with a highly experienced software engineer and UX designer who will serve as mentors during an intensive and hands-on personalised one hour session. In this session mentors will take a close look at your design and development decisions, providing real-time insights, solutions and suggestions.

Applications close on Friday 11 September 2015 at midnight. Successful applicants will be required to submit an R250 fee to cover basic costs for the session. Each of the 24 dev teams will also get a three month workspace access at JoziHub for their project as well other goodies we’ll be announcing soon – check back regularly for more details.

If you’re interested, fill in the Google Form to apply for app.clinic() now – or complete it in the space below. If you have any queries email Thabo@JoziHub.org.

Please note that these sessions are targeted specifically at development teams – to find out about other awesome workshops and events for business training, funding and marketing your startup on the same day, check out the Leaderex schedule here.
