MWEB launches uncapped ADSL for R79 a month

If you’re in the market to get an uncapped ADSL connection, but you don’t want to spend a lot, MWEB today announced two packages which could suit you.

That’s right, uncapped (but not unshaped) internet for as little as R79. While that is very cheap, don’t forget that you’ll need an ADSL-enabled phone line from Telkom, as well as an ADSL router, so there will be additional costs involved outside of what you’ll be paying MWEB.

The other thing to bear in mind is that new customers can’t apply for a 1Mbps line, so the cheapest new deal on offer is uncapped 2Mbps at R339 per month for ADSL and bandwidth, plus R149 a month for the Telkom line. That’s a total of R488 a month minimum.

To sweeten the deal, both packages come with uncapped WiFi at MWEB WiFi hotspots, an MWEB email account, and a month-to-month service (in lieu of a contract).

If you do want to enter into one, MWEB is offering the first three months of its services free when you start a 12 month contract.
