Become a Geekulcha Student Ambassador at TUT

After its hugely successful VacWork program, Geekulcha wants to expand its footprint in the South Africa’s capital city. This time around they’re putting out a call to ICT students to join their Student Ambassador program at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Pretoria.

After the success of the hackathon recently held at TUT, the university seemed like an obvious starting point to recruit more students to its collective.

“For the past 2 years, Geekulcha as seen that there is hunger[for technology] in Gauteng, particularly in Pretoria, students have talent but needs to be more empowered”, Tiyani Nghonyama COO of Geekulcha told htxt.africa.

Geekulcha is looking for organised, forward thinkers that love tech and that want to grow the talents of their ICT peers on campus. Geekulcha is offering invaluable experience in project management and development, industrial exposure, access to Geekulcha resources and mentorship from ICT industry leaders.

Student Ambassadors will be assigned roles in one of three areas namely Digital Marketing and Branding, Communication and Coordination, and Software Development specialisation. The call for Geekulcha Student Ambassdors opened yesterday and interested TUT students at the Faculty of ICT have until 18th September to apply online.
