Random Hacks of Kindness to host code-shipping hackathon at Soccer City

Want to learn how to come up with an idea for an app or website and ship the code in just 48 hours? Then join Geekulcha at Tech4Africa next month, when the organisation will be hosting a Random Hacks of Kindness (RHOK) hackathon during the conference at the FNB Stadium (Soccer City) from the 5th to 6th October.

“Our view is that most of the hackathons presently in the ecosystem fail at three things: clear direction for a usable product, shipping code and usable skills. Our approach is different, we’re going to give clear direction on a product that could become a business, everyone will work together as a team, we will ship an MVP product in two days, and all skills learnt over the two days will transfer to the job environment,” the hackathon page reads.

There’s space for 100 developers to join, so reserve your seat now as they will probably fill up quickly.

The founder of Tech4Africa, Gareth Knight – local tech entrepreneur and definitely not the British esotericist of the same name – is also scheduled as one of the event’s speakers.

Interested? Tickets to the RHOK Tech4Africa hackathon are free and can be booked on the conference’s website.
