SimbaPay wins DEMO Africa 2015 and now heads to Silicon Valley

The winner of DEMO Africa 2015, SimbaPay, is headed to Silicon Valley to pitch its digital money transfer business and new innovations in financial technology to investors at the DEMO Global conference.

The conference has seen a number of startups being launched into the public eye including Tivo, Webex and Salesforce, companies whose success has helped them become household names.

Previous service offerings launched by SimbaPay include instant money transfers to all Nigerian banks, and the ability for Kenyans living abroad to make M-Pesa Pay Bill payments.

This new service will allow Africans to open a bank account in Africa from anywhere in the world, quickly and efficiently.

SimbaPay’s chief executive officer, Nyasinga Onyancha said in a statement about the company’s win, “We are totally excited and dedicate this win to our customers. It’s because of their continued feedback and support that we were able to develop our new in-app bank account opening service.”

SimbaPay is free to download on smartphones using iOS and Android operating systems.

We wish SimbaPay the best of luck at the DEMO Global conference, and hope to see the startup grow from strength to strength.
