If you are on MTN, you are more than likely experiencing some difficulties in making and receiving calls.
After struggling to make calls in the office, htxt.africa confirmed with MTN’s 808 call centre that the network is currently experiencing connection issues. The call centre agent couldn’t tell us what the cause was, or how long it would take to be fixed, only saying that it has affected incoming and outgoing calls.
MTN has, after we spoke to the call centre, confirmed via Twitter that things are not the way they should be.
Hey Mzansi, if you’re experiencing some network issues, it may be due to the upgrades we are doing. All should be well again in 30 mins.

MTN’s spokesperson wasn’t immediately available for comment.
