When Apple announced the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, we speculated that South African’s would get the new smartphone in November – oh, how wrong we were.

In a statement sent to the press this afternoon MTN has revealed that it is now taking pre-registrations for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus before the launch of the new smartphones next week Friday, on the 16th of October.

The latest iteration of the iPhone will feature a 12MP iSight camera and 5MP camera with Retina Flash. The iPhone 6s will have a display size of 4.7-inches while the much larger 6s Plus will boast a 5.5-inch display.

Both of the new smartphones will carry two new features, the first, 3D Touch which promises to give you greater control over your apps and the tasks you use them for. The technology Apple calls,Live Photos which give you a snippet of what happened before and after your snap is included on both smartphones.

We have no word on pricing just yet but with just over a week to go before release we should know soon.
