There’s a new Ubisoft game being teased on the publisher’s website that could very well be Far Cry Primal.
The homepage of the Ubisoft website has been overlayed with a live stream that shows a number of cave paintings on a wall, since midday yesterday. The paintings illustrate a number of events including a sabre-toothed tiger, deer, a tribe of people hunting a mammoth and what appears to be a chief holding a knife over the head of an individual kneeling on the ground.
The name Far Cry Primal was revealed by the IGN Turkey Twitter account which has since been suspended.
A number of tech websites, including Kotaku, have since reported that the game Ubisoft is teasing will be a prehistoric Far Cry game complete with woolly mammoths and sabre-toothed tigers.
Far Cry Primal – or whatever the eventual game will be called – is set to be the half way point between Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5, similar to the release of Far Cry Blood Dragon.
At this point there isn’t much else to go on except for a – now inaccessible – tweet and some cave paintings on a loop. Rest assured however, that if anything changes on the Ubisoft livestream the htxt.africa team will let you know.
