SA teen entrepreneurs to show off their business skills at youth festivals

Next weekend South African teenage entrepreneurs will have the chance to show that they have what it takes to be great entrepreneurs and possibly secure funding for their businesses at the Teen Biz Ideas.

Hosted by social enterprise, Beyond the Lemon Stand and backed by the Impact Hub, the Teen Biz Ideas fest will bring together teens running their own businesses and give them a platform to pitch their businesses in front of investors and professionals in the local entrepreneurship sector.

If their ideas manage to make enough of an impression, teen entrepreneurs will secure financial and coaching support for their businesses. Other young entrepreneurs will also be there to give advice and a word of motivation to the pitching businesses.

Registration for the event is open and admission is charged at R75 per person. Teen Biz Ideas will be held on the 24th October at the Livity Africa Offices, on 73 Juta Street in Braamfontein.

Teen Biz Ideas is also a build up to the TeenPreneur Festival taking place on the 21st November where young entrepreneurs will exhibit their businesses, get another chance to network with investors and professionals and attend workshops where they’ll learn to sell their products/services and grow their customer base.

Entrepreneurs at the festival also stand the chance to win a share of R30 000 worth of prizes to help grow their business.

The TeenPreneur Festival will be held at the Wits Business School in Parktown, registration is also open and a R100 participation fee is charged for all submissions.
