Alan Knott-Craig Junior, Lauren Beukes and the creator of “crowdfarming” to speak at TEDxJohannesburg

A social entrepreneur, a sangoma, a crowdfarming entrepreneur, a fashion designer, a techie and a bunch of people from other sectors will be giving talks at this year’s TEDxJohannesburg, set to be held at two famous locations next month.

Simply themed “Moonshots”, the talks will focus on dreams, hopes and goals that humanity sets for itself.

The event will be held over two days – the 19th and 20th of November – at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani and then a follow up in Turbine Hall in Newtown.

The list of speakers is now confirmed, and there’s some unmissable segments (in our humble opinion). The awesome Lauren Beukes – who’s comic book series Survival Club is currently being published by DC – will be there, as will ex-Mxit CEO and free WiFi pioneer Alan Knott-Craig Jr. Simon Bootsma

  • Alan Knott-Craig Jr – CEO of Project Isizwe
  • Radile Mokone – Spoken Word Artist
  • Wim Pijbes – Cultural Entrepreneur
  • Amanda Gcabashe – iSangoma, iNyanga
