BidorBuy starting Apple Watch auctions at R1 for Black Friday

Black Friday isn’t something South Africans usually partake in, but over the last few years online stores have gone all out on the traditionally American day of super low prices.

In SA, online classified website bidorbuy is making a bunch of really cool tech available for auction – starting at only R1 per item and auctions that last just two hours.

There is a bit of a catch though: R1 is only the minimum bidding price for each item, and there is no guarantee prices will remain at that low level once other bargain-hunting auction fans get wind of them. Just be careful you don’t end up paying more than full price.

“Black Friday on 27 November 2015 sees the first ever bidorbuy two-hour Flash Auctions where the latest goods will be auctioned off from a starting bid of R1 with no reserve. The bidder who offers the most, wins the item,” bidorbuy explained in press statement.

The auctions have been divided up into two slots of two hours each, to be carried out this coming Friday (Black Friday).

Between 9am and 11am on Friday, you can put your R1 bids in for an Apple Watch Sport 38mm Silver with White Sport Band, an iPad mini 4, a Google Chromecast dongle and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto Jovia coffee machine.

In the next block that opens from 12pm to 2pm, you’ll be able to bid on a Nescafe Dolce Gusto Circolo Capsule Coffee Machine, a Braun Facial Epilator, a Jeronimo Wooden Activity Cube and a Blue JBL Clip.

There will be more (and different) products on Cyber Monday, but those will only be revealed on the day.

If you are not sure where to find the items mentioned, you can find them under bidorbuy’s Deals of the Week section.

You will have to be incredibly lucky to get any of these items for just R1, but stranger things have happened so don’t discount your chances just yet.

Good luck!
