Mortal Kombat X gets an XL edition and a gory trailer

NetherRealm has released a trailer for a new version of Mortal Kombat X, titled Mortal Kombat XL, which will feature every piece of DLC available in the game.

This new iteration of the fighting game will unlock all the DLC featured in the original game including fighters Jason Voorhees, Predator, Tanya and Tremor.

Of course, no set of overpriced DLC game is complete without the ability to dress your characters up in some way or another, so NetherRealm will also be including all the skin packs from the original game in Mortal Kombat X. This includes themed skin packs for each fighter and DLC skins such as the Samurai skin pack, which was included in the first Kombat Pack.

The super-sized version of the game will also include all the DLC scheduled to appear in Kombat Pack 2. This includes new fighters Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Xenomorph from the Alien movies, Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg, a cyborg that will hopefully take the best features of Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke to make the new fighter.

It will be available from the 3rd of March on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, both at retail and via digital outlets according to the trailer. Unfortunately for PC gamers, neither Mortal Kombat XL nor any of this new content has been given a PC release just yet.

While we wait for further news, NetherRealm has given us a trailer for Mortal Komabt XL, which we’ve embedded below. Though it should be obvious (this is a Mortal Kombat game after all) we should point out that the trailer is ultra violent, and those with delicate sensibilities should probably not watch.
