William Frentzen, is a United States Federal Prosecutor who was part of the prosecution teams that put Carl Force and Shaun Bridges (pictured above) behind bars.
You can hear him speak at the Blockchain & Bitcoin Africa Conference 2016 next month.
Force, a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent and Bridges, a former Secret Service agent, used their unique positions in government to extort and steal Bitcoins during the investigation into the infamous black market Silk Road.
Not only did the pair try and make off with around a million USD in Bitcoin, but Force even (illegally) signed a $240 000 (R3 810 936) contract with 20th Century Fox to make a movie about the Silk Road Investigation. How cheeky.
Frentzen will be among a list of expert speakers at the conference who will tackle everything about cryptocurrency. His topic will be: “The challenges posed to law enforcement by certain technologies such as digital currencies and topics of mutual concern between the industry and government”, which will take place at 14:45 – 15:30 on Thursday March 3rd.
