LG’s 360-degree camera to “change selfies forever”

Have you ever whipped out your selfie stick and thought that it would be great if you could capture the moment in full 360-degree glory?

Well, LG is about to make things a lot easier for you. The LG 360 Cam is a camera that captures, as you can guess, 360 degree images in 16 mega-pixels.

LG said that the camera is incredibly light, compact and easy to carry, all the qualities that you want from a camera that is going to capture everything around you.

From the demo that was shown at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the visuals it captures seem pretty smooth. But only until we have had our hands on it, can we truly tell.

Would you like to edit the images? Of course you want, and when it is paired with the newly-announced LG G5, you will be able to do just that.

“360 content is the next wave in imaging and it is going to open a new world to create and share video and images,” explained LG.

LG has also partnered with Google’s Streetview team, allowing all 360 degree images that are approved by Google to be stored in full HD by Google for free. “It is a great way to make it possible so that the next generation of experiences can happen,” explained Google.
