A five month workout plan… by way of 3D printed nesting dolls?

Need some impetus to get to get in shape?

US gym BRICK has come up with a rather unorthodox way to get you there: by 3D printing nesting dolls which show your progress over five months of working out, with each smaller doll representing a better-looking you.

BRICK’s reasoning behind using the dolls (called Matryoshka dolls) is that people need motivation when they don’t see immediate results. The five smaller dolls represent you and your workout plan over the months, hopefully giving you some extra go to match up to your Russian toy self.

Yeah, okay, that is pretty weak. Luckily, this isn’t just a desk toy. Inside each doll is a progressive workout plan saved onto a USB stick.

Each doll, while 3D printed, is hand-painted to look like you. Well, as close as you can get using conical caricatures. While it would have been much easier to just create the client’s features in a CAD programme, the aim of this special attention was to make the dolls look better as time goes on. Again, it’s all to get you motivated.

Regardless of what you think of this, you’re probably not going to be able to get one. BRICK is a strictly US franchise at the moment and perusing around their site provides almost no information about the dolls aside from the video above. This leads us to believe that this was most likely a limited event or strictly an advertising stunt.

Luckily, we have you covered here at htxt.africa. You don’t need an international gym or 3D printed, USB stick toys to get in shape, check out the helpful weight loss video below.
