Instagram bumps up videos to 60 seconds, adds back multi-clip on iOS

From today in select (unknown) regions, you’ll be able to upload videos up to 60 seconds in length to Instagram and the ability to make a video from multiple clips has been added back to the iOS version.

In a post on the official blog (titled: Coming Soon: Longer Video on Instagram) the developers promise that the ability to do all this will be available to users in the coming months.

We’ve given it a shot ourselves and found that we don’t yet have the ability to do so on either the Android or iOS versions. You’ll have to keep your app up to date and keep checking back until the new functionality is available in your region.

Those on Apple devices again have access to the “Multi-clip” feature (allowing you to cut and paste shorter clips together). This will be part of the updated app, iOS version 7.19, which is available to download right now from the App Store.

Again, we tried it out and were pleasantly surprised to see that we can indeed cut up our videos. Instagram has promised this functionality will be made accessible throughout the week, so don’t fret if you can’t already do it.
