Benedict Cumberbatch visits a comic book store as Doctor Strange

Next time you’re the lead in a Marvel movie and you’re done shooting for the day, impress your fans by wandering down to the local comic book store. Well, that’s what you’d do if you’re Benedict Cumberbatch.

The actor, who is lucky enough to be paid to dress up and act out many of our fantasies, visited JHU Comic Books in New York when his shooting for the day had been wrapped up. He even posted about it on Facebook.

Filming is done time for fun!

Director Scott Derrickson also joined in on the excursion, but we’re sure everyone was more excited to see the Doctor.

There’s also some video of the event captured by the stores CCTVs, but it’s decidedly low quality. Here it is regardless:

Doctor Strange is slated for a November 2016 release, so its quite a way away (unless you’re reading this in the future, in which case find a way to send us lottery numbers please). To satiate your Marvel needs Captain America: Civil War is next on the roster in April. Again, if you’re reading this now, that means it’s less than a month away.

Get excited for it with our feature on how we think it’s going to stack up to the staggering amount of comics it’s using as source material.
