Yogg-Saron brings some nasty cards with him to the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion

The last of the four Old God cards for the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion has been revealed and Yogg-Saron, Hope’s End is particularly nasty.

Truth be told, all of the Old God’s are nasty, but for players who love casting spells instead of throwing bodies on the battlefield, the battlecry of the so-called, “Beast with a Thousand Maws” may excite you.

The text on the card reads “Cast a random spell for each spell you’ve cast this game (targets chosen randomly).”

Scanning through the Hearthstone Twitter account reveals some of the finer details about the card mechanics namely that the spells cast would not trigger Flamewalker’s effect, or buff Mana Wyrms. We should also point out that the spells are cast at random and could hit Yogg-Saran himself, that may be a problem if you say, Polymorph him into a sheep right out of the gate.

A new Warlock card is also on the way, Spreading Madness is a 3 mana spell that allows you to “deal 9 damage randomly split among ALL characters”, this includes your cards and character so be careful of that RNG if you’re at low health.

Cho’Gall is sure to become a great asset in Handlock decks. The battlecry, “the next spell you cast this turn costs Health instead of Mana,” may serve those trying to get a Molten Giant or Golemagg (yes we know its only available in Tavern Brawl but maybe one day Blizzard will bring it to the actual game) onto the field.

Warriors are going to become the most hated class in the game with the Blood Warriors card which allows players to “add a copy of each damaged friendly minion to your hand”.

Full board into Whirlwind into Concede anybody?

There is still no word on when we will actually get our hands on these cards but remember that you can pre-order 50 packs for €44.99 and Blizzard will throw in a free Old Gods card back.
