Sign up for the Gwent beta right here

If you’ve been following the news streaming out of E3, you’ll know that Gwent, the extremely popular minigame within The Witcher 3, now has its own game.

Yes, there’s another battle card video game on the horizon and, if you like,  you can participate in the beta taking place in September.

All you need to do is follow this link and click on the gold “Register for beta” button. Provide your email address and platform of choice, and you’re in.

The full game will be available on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. However, the beta won’t be available on PS4 – only Xbox One and PC players will be able to join access it.

This will not guarantee you a place in the beta, however. The message displayed after signing up reads:

Although we’d love to make the game available to everyone at once, we want to use this early stage to thoroughly test its infrastructure and balance. This means we will select groups of gamers and send invites in waves. If you’re selected to participate, we will provide you with further details.

Take a minute to read over the FAQ on the Gwent site. On it you’ll find more details about the beta and the full game. For example: it states that it will be free with in-game purchases, just like Hearthstone.

To make it different from the minigame, it will have card art, card voice-overs, skills, and competitive PVP.

To end off the story we’d like to show you something physical related to the traditionally digital card game. A user on Reddit (or their cousin) made a wooden Gwent board.
