Sometimes you’re on the internet, minding your own business, when you come across something that makes you rethink this whole “technological advancement of the human race” thing. Your impetus for that quote today is the video titled  “Japanese Donald Trump Commercialトランプ2016”.

We usually like to preface a video by giving you some contextual information or, at the very least, a reason why we’re writing about it. All we can really offer you on that front is that we need more people to share in our dumbfounded amazement, and it’s too close to the weekend for us to try and rationalise what we’re seeing.

Enjoy!

So, what did we just see? That isn’t a rhetorical question acting as a clever segue to our answer, we don’t really know either.

We think it is trying to ape the over-the-top opening sequences from Japanese anime and turn it into a commercial from US presidential hopeful Donald Trump.

What we do know is that this isn’t actually a Japanese anime, or advert either. Instead it’s one of the bizarre creations of American Mike Diva. Check out his channel and you’ll find a cornucopia of extremely well produced, technically brilliant videos that make no damn sense.

His most popular video must be “Kazoo Kid – Trap Remix”. Kazoo Kid, or “You on Kazoo” is a segment from an 80’s kid’s TV show in which some kids play the kazoo. Not interesting at first, but the internet as bastardised it into virality.

And here’s what happens when Diva gets a hold of it.

In other news: we’ve now covered Trump as: a videogame level,  a character from Game of Thrones, a 3D printed butt plug and, finally, a Piñata. Can we stop now, please?
