[Exclusive] Coloured protestors march to meet Hlaudi: “He promised us our own SABC station”

A group of protestors from a non-profit organisation representing coloured people has demanded better representation of their race group on SABC.

While the #BlackFriday protest proceeded from the public broadcaster’s office to Constitution Hill yesterday, a group from the Kullid Foundation stood a few meters from the building to hold its own protest.

According to the foundation, SABC COO, Hlaudi Motsoeneng had promised that coloured people would receive their own TV channel and radio station so that they would be represented as much as black and white races, thanks to the quota change at the public broadcaster.
