SABC vs journalists court judgement moved back to Joburg

There has been another change in the proceedings for the judgement in the SABC vs Solidarity judgement to be handed down tomorrow.

The judgement was mooted to be handed down this morning but was instead postponed to tomorrow and was to be handed down at the Cape Town Labour Court.

It has now been moved back up to Johannesburg and is expected at 10am at the Labour Court.

Solidarity, which is representing four axed SABC journalists, will thereafter hold a media briefing at The Orbit Jazz club nearby the court.

The trade union’s CEO, Dirk Hermann, told htxt.africa that it will take some time out after the judgement to go through it and then hold a media briefing to explain its implications as well as express it’s and the journalists thoughts on it.

Members of the media will also be handed a copy of the judgement.
