Anybody that has been a part of a WhatsApp group planning a party or a night out will know the pain of a group chat. Now Tinder wants to get in on this action with Tinder Social.

The idea behind the new feature is to help different groups of friends meet other groups of friends and have one big party together.

“Often your best nights are when you’re hanging with friends,” reads a blog post on Tinder’s website, “someone makes an unexpected connection with someone in another crew, and your two crews have an amazing time together.”

Users will have to “unlock” the new feature. This means that users will have to opt-in to the new feature. We say this because once you unlock the Tinder Social your friends will be able to see you, and you’ll be able to see them.

Users can then add friends to their group and start swiping to find another groups of friends. When a member of both group swipes right, the groups are matched and planning can begin.

According to Tinder the group and matches will expire at noon the next day.

The dating app has also said that this is the first step in making Tinder more social.

Somehow, we think that this new feature is going to end up being something like the video below, only with more people, a lot more people.
