A full size, 3D printed version of Torbjörn’s rivet gun from Overwatch

The last time we wrote about 1:1 scale weapon from Overwatch, it was D.Va’s light gun made out of LEGO. Now we have a 3D printed rivet gun touted by Torbjörn.

Created by maker Marco Antonio and submitted to MyMiniFactory, information about the design is sparse with the item’s details section filled with lore about Torbjörn.

What we do know is that it took between 60 and 67 hours to print in FDM. It’s also a multi-part print that needs to be assembled and Antonio rates it “very difficult” in the MyMiniFactory complexity section.

Checking out the gif above you’ll see that squeezing the trigger actually moves a mechanism within the print. Seeing that it’s clear why it’s classified as difficult.

If this print looks a bit on the small size, remember that Torbjörn is a small person so the scale works out.

On that note, we’ve had something of a rough in the office over this, with some of us certain that this character is a mythological dwarf a la Tolkien mythology, or he’s just a regular human being of short stature. Both seem equally plausible in a game featuring sentient monk robots and highly intelligent gorillas that have riots on the surface of the moon.
