Watch: How the Black Mambas prepare to fight Rhino poachers

At first glance, the women of the Black Mambas anti-poaching unit look petite and harmless, but don’t let their appearance fool you; these women are fierce, hard-working bunch.

They work at the Balule Game Reserve in Limpopo, about an hour’s drive from Phalaborwa, doing a fantastic job that has seen them scoop an international UN award.

We visited them recently and profiled them for our Women’s Month special, you can read more about that in our previous article.
