ICT Achievers Awards returns in 2016 to honour local excellence in tech

Last year the ICT Achievers Awards returned after a seven year hiatus, and it will return once again in 2016.

This event  recognises and celebrates those involved in information and communications technology (ICT) in South Africa. This applies to both singular individuals and businesses as a whole.

After helping to revive the event last year, The South African Communications Forum (SACF) is also partnering with Times Media Group (TMG) as well as big sponsors in the forms of Vodacom and MTN.

Nominations opened for the event on September 1st where anyone can vote in the following categories:

  • Top ICT SMME Award
  • Top ICT Innovator
  • Top ICT Youth Leader (under 35)
  • Top Woman In ICT Award
  • ICT Accessibility Excellence Award
  • Local ICT Industrilisation Award
  • Honorary ICT Lifetime Achievement Award

While nominations close of September 23rd,  we’ll have instructions on how and where to vote in the near future.

If you want more info between then and now, check out the official site.

Once all the voting has taken place and we have the winners, the awards ceremony will take place on October 27th at The Galleria in Sandton. It promises to be a brilliant night out where you can do some of that networking everyone is always speaking about.
