If you’re an iPhone owner and a Super Mario Bros. fan you may have been thrilled when you heard last night that the portly plumber was on his way to your phone.

As part of Apple’s keynote in San Francisco on Wednesday, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto announced that a new Super Mario Bros. game will be coming to iOS.

So great was the reaction to Nintendo’s announcement that the firm’s share price climbed 29% as a result according to VentureBeat.

Sadly, however, the game won’t operate on all all iPhone handsets

Casting an eye at the App Store page for Super Mario Run you’ll notice that only iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE owners will be able to play the game. These handsets will also need to be running on iOS 8.0 at the very least.

Other Apple products which will run the game are iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4,  iPad Pro (12.9inch and 9.7inch), and the iPod touch.

If you happen to be running one of those products you can head over to the App Store now and register to get a notification when the game is ready for purchase.

There’s also good news on the horizon for fans of the plumber using an Android smartphone or tablet as Kotaku reports that the game will be available on the operating system at a date yet to be announced.

If you completely missed the keynote last night, Super Mario Run takes the form of an endless runner where players simply need to tap the screen to have the iconic plumber jump over obstacles.

There will be three modes to the game the first of which asks players to complete courses and earn a high score. The second mode will see players battle each other to see “who can finish the course with the most style!”

The final mode will let players create their own Mushroom Kingdom using the coins they’ve collected throughout the first two modes. As Miyamoto said during the keynote, the game can be played one handed and will be available at a set price.
