On our hunt for 3D prints designed to fidget with, we came across this “Micro-Sketch” design that brings the classic Etch A Sketch into the present day.
All you need to do is head on over to Thingiverse where it’s free to download.
The design is made to hold onto a pen or pencil which you can then adjust using two nobs for the X and Y axes. Because the pen or pencil is under constant pressure, it will continue to draw as you move around, just how an Etch A Sketch behaves.
The drawing area here is 15 X 10 centimetres and you can put anything underneath the print to draw on. Paper, cardboard, even your friends if they’re gullible and flat enough.
Finally, we’d like to piont out something strange we discovered thanks to the description of this design. in some parts of the world the Etch A Sketch is known as a “Telesketch”. Huh.
