Here’s your chance to tell parliament why #DataMustFall

Tomorrow marks the start of parliament’s public hearings on the cost to communicate, which includes discussions on the cost of data in South Africa and you have a chance to have a say.

Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Telecommunications and Postal Services will be hosting the hearings, which will see presentations from industry players including mobile network operators, research institutions, students, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), internet service providers and, small businesses.

The Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI) and radio personality, Tbo Touch, will be among those making presentations tomorrow.

Tbo Touch hasn’t yet finalised his presentation and has invited the public to submit their own comments to be added to his presentation.

Tbo Touch said he’s been allocated around 20 minutes to appear before the committee tomorrow.

If you have any comments or suggestions, you can submit them to info@touchcentral.fm.

The hearings kick off at 9am tomorrow and are expected to end at 5pm.
