The crown from Game of Thrones recreated as a 3D print

Today’s 3D print of the day is none other than the “Stag Crown” from Game of Thrones.

According to the Song of Ice and Fire wiki, this design is the TV depiction of  the crown of Joffrey I of House Baratheon. The creator of this 3D printable design calls it the “Stag Crown” but we don’t think that’s the official name.

Regardless, it’s probably what most people think of when they think of the crown from Game of Thrones and it’s the perfect pairing for the Iron Throne.

This design free to download on Thingiverse and, if you want it to look like the reference image, you’ll need to put a lot of time into finishing it. You’re going to need to smooth it out, paing it and find some costume jewellery to complete the look.

If you really want to take it far, you could sit down and try to carve in some of the detailing which couldn’t be maintained in a regular 3D print.

If you are tackling printing this yourself, check out one of the pictures below which seems to be a size chart in relation to print sizes. At the supplied 100% you’ll be getting a 55 centimetre crown, which should fit most people.

It seems that this was made for Thingiverse’s Costume Challenge where makers are tasked with creating a clever costume. It’s still ongoing and the first prize is a 3D printer, so check it out if that’s your speed. The closing date is October 26th.
