Snorlax gets a 3D print just in time for Pokémon Sun & Moon

Hot on the heels of Charizard and the Eeveeutions, Snorlax is the next Pokémon to get a fan-made 3D print.

Created by 86Duino, the palm-sized Snorlax is a far cry from being a 1:1 print of the imaginary monster. Looking at the files which are available for free on Thingiverse, you’ll be able to make this on almost any 3D printer thanks to the smaller size and slicing which makes the load even lighter.

Despite being a first generation Pokémon, Snorlax is getting an update in the upcoming seventh generation games, Sun and Moon thanks to a new Z-Move.

Aside from the attention to physical detail, make sure to check out the colour variations in the last image of the gallery below. They look like random palette swaps, but the first Snorlax on the right is actually a shiny. For those of you not in the Pokémon know, shinys are extremely rare variants whose defining characteristics is being a different colour.

It may not seem like a huge difference, but the rarity of these type of Pokémon makes fans of the series (myself included) extremely happy. Buy the way, I’ve been playing this series since the original game and have never even seen a shiny in the wild. Game Freak, if you’re reading, I better see a shiny when I boot up my copy of Sun or Moon. I think more than two decades of loyalty mean I’m due.
