Ubisoft is giving away games via a virtual advent calendar

Ubisoft has embraced the spirit of Yuletide giving and cranked it up to 11 by offering players a different treat every day for the next 30 days.

The “Ubi 30 – 30 Days of Giveaways” promotion is currently on and by clicking virtual boxes you can get yourself a new game, for free.

All you will need is a Uplay account to take advantage of this promotion and a daily reminder to check the Ubisoft website.

The promotion runs until 23rd December and what awaits you behind each box appears to be completely random.

Opening the first box bagged me a copy of Rayman Classic for my smartphone (I use an Android smartphone) and my second box gifted me a 30% discount on any Ubisoft game from the Uplay store.

The publisher has said that while it has planned giveaways, there are 300 of the latest titles from the Ubisoft stable to be had as well.

“Planned giveaways include Rayman Classic for mobile, special holiday decorations, and a special 300 Game Giveaway! That’s right, 300 copies of three of our latest titles (one game per person, first-come first-served) will be up for grabs as part of the festivities! We’ll also be giving away unique goodies, ranging from cocktail recipes to DIY projects for the whole family,” Ubisoft said in a blog.

Now this is where things get interesting. The 300 Game Giveaway seems to only be happening on 9th December if a table from reddit user MrFujiKicker is to be believed.

Other than that the rewards aren’t all that exciting, especially if you’ve been claiming the games Ubisoft has given away as part of it’s 30th birthday.

With that said, a free game is a free game, and we’d be silly not to claim it while we can.
