With the launch of Space Hulk: Deathwing later this month, we’re getting really excited for everything Warhammer 40K. While 3D printing the miniatures could be fun, we’ve stumbled across some Inquisitor weapons that are scaled to be prop weapons.
Ritthanondh has recreated three popular weapons commonly seen on the miniatures and concept art of the Inquisitors: a handgun, sword and lasgun.
Looking at the handgun first, and the files to 3D print it can be found for free on Thingiverse. Ritthanondh states that it pairs nicely with any Warhammer 40K cosplay, and we have to agree. The multiple small parts just need to be printed and glued together, with decorative screws and a paint job to finish it off.
The sword too is free for you to have on Thingiverse, but it’s a bit more difficult to put together. After printing the 10 separate pieces, you’ll need to insert rods into the length of the weapon to make it sturdy.
The final print is 90 centimetres long and looks damn good when finished as well as it is below. In the files of the sword Ritthanondh included two different version of the pommel if a skull is too garish for you.
Finally, a project Ritthanondh has shared on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, but has not released the files for yet. He has recreated several of the popular lasgun, a very familiar site in the world of Warhammer 40K. We have to wonder what he’s doing with so many of the things, hopefully he’s purging heresy.
We’ll update the story if the files to print these are released.
