The end of 2016 is so close we can taste it and we figured rather than just talk about our favourite stories of the week, why not discuss our favourite stories of the year.

So this week Nick Cowen, Clinton Matos, Lungelo Shezi and Brendyn Lotz sit down to talk about the year that was and the stories that stuck in our minds. From the goings-on at the SABC to what was arguably one of the best years for gaming in recent memory and even the explosive release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 we talk about it all.

Sadly we did experience a technical glitch with one of the microphones that we discovered a bit too late. We’ve done our best to improve the audio quality of Brendyn’s microphone in post-production and you should be able to hear his voice. We do apologise.

Secondly if like many you’re listening to this podcast while you’re away for the holidays please keep in mind that this podcast is over 53 minutes long and the MP3 file clocks in at over 50MB so keep that in mind before you hit download.

This is the last htxt.africast for the year but we will be back (with working microphones) in January. Until then, happy holidays and a joyful new year to you and yours.
