A forum on the CD Projekt RED website has been breached and the details of 1.9 million user accounts have been exposed according to Have I Been Pwned.

The breach happened back in March 2016 according to a report by IT Pro which was alerted to the breach by Have I Been Pwned yesterday. Hackers targeted the forum and made off with usernames, email addresses and passwords.

Passwords were salted with SHA1 encryption according to Have I Been Pwned.

While the breach is yet to be confirmed by CD Projekt RED we would urge anybody that had an account on the affected forum to change their passwords should they have used the same email and password combination elsewhere.

As of time of writing CD Projekt RED has neither confirmed or denied the breach of its forum but we will be sure to update you when we hear more.

In the meantime, watch out for those Net Runners.
