Yesterday, Square Enix Japan hosted a special 30th Anniversary celebratory event for their iconic Final Fantasy franchise.
At the event, a release date was announced for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The game, which is a remaster of the PS2 classic Final Fantasy XII, was recently shown off at the Taipei Games Show 2017 held in January.
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will release for the PlayStation 4 on July 11 2017 and will feature updated environments, characters and cutscenes all running at crisp 1080p.
The game will also feature a newly recorded soundtrack in 7.1 surround, a trial mode where you can battle monsters in up to 100 successive rounds, and additional content that was previously only available in the game’s International Edition.
Square Enix also announced a highly unusual collaboration with Nissin Cup Noodles which involves 15 limited release noodle packs, each themed with a boss from the first Final Fantasy game all the way to Final Fantasy XV.
