Ever since we wrote about the Apple Watch dock that turns it into a tiny classic Macintosh, we’ve been on the look out for more miniaturised Macs, and we found one.

This comes to us from user “Cupcakus” from the C.H.I.P. forum, or Chris Larkin to you and me. C.H.I.P. being the maker board that is touted as a $9 (~R121) computer, and it’s nice to see it getting attention in place of the usual Raspberry Pi and Arduino projects.

The little Apple runs off of a battery normally used in a drone and will run the computer for about 10 hours. The small keyboard is purely for show as a Bluetooth version is needed for input, and it supports a joystick to play some games on the 3″ screen.

If you’d like a crack at making your own the case is 3D printed, the C.H.I.P. can be bought from the official site and the screen is from Adafruit.

Update: All the files and instructions needed to replicate this project have been uploaded to GitHub.
