Here are the instructions to build your own LEGO Tallneck from Horizon Zero Dawn

In December we brought you the story of South African LEGO fan Wayne de Beer and his spot on recreation of one of the robot dinosaurs from Horizon Zero Dawn.

At the time de Beer had created some basic instructions to replicate the so called “Tallneck“. These were made for the community manager at Guerrilla Games, Jeroen Roding, who built his own.

When it reached well known LEGO fanatic and famous game designer Hideo Kojima (who also built one),  we were promised us that instructions would be made available soon.

Wayne is a man of his word; we now have the full instructions as well as parts list – everything you’ll need to make your own. You can view the embedded PDF below, which can also be downloaded from Google Drive.

To order individual bricks, we suggest using the official Pick a Brick service if it’s available in your country, and the unofficial Bricklink marketplace if it isn’t. This spreadsheet featuring parts numbers for the bricks will help with that.

If you’ve already finished the building process, or skipped ahead in the instructions like we did, there’s another surprise at the end.

The final page reads “more models coming soon…” with pictures of three more of Horizon Zero Dawn’s machines. de Beer has told us that he’s currently working on the machine which looks like a T-Rex (called a “Thunderjaw “) and, seeing as he’s delivered on his promises in the past, we’re sure to see this LEGO project soon.

Keeping checking back to makers.htxt for updates.
