Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands launches on 7th March, but Ubisoft is giving us all a chance to check the game out in an open beta.
Whether you use a Playstation 4, Xbox One or PC, from 23rd to 27th February you will be able to dive into Ubisoft’s futuristic take on Bolivia. The Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the state into a drug fuelled mess and the Ghosts are tasked with cleaning up the streets.
Players will be able to explore two of the 21 regions in the game the mountainous, sniper friendly Itacua and the dangerous Montuyoc region.
There’s also good news for those that often spend these beta test periods watching the game download. From Monday players will be able to pre-load Wildlands so that when the beta goes live you can start offing drug dealers.
Participation in the open beta will also net you a free bonus mission – Unidad Conspiracy – should you play the full game after release and before 31st March.
Ubisoft has also detailed the minimum and recommended specifications for PC gamers which you can check out below.
The question on our lips is whether this open-world game from Ubisoft will be the one to stick the landing. Last year’s open world/pseudo-MMO/team-based shooter The Division has seemingly faded into obscurity, let’s hope the same doesn’t happen to this game which we’re rather excited to dive into.
