The ad hoc committee on the the SABC Inquiry will resume this morning to consider responses to its draft report.

Witnesses who testified in the inquiry were given up until the 16th February at the latest to submit their responses in written format and raise any objections to the findings contained in the report.

The committee had met last week Tuesday for the same purpose, but deferred the task until tomorrow after only two people had responded.

The process will go ahead this time, even if there aren’t enough responses, so that the committee is able to submit their final report by the end of this month.

The final report will include recommendations for each issue raised during the inquiry. Recommendations were initially supposed to be included in the draft report, but were omitted after intense disagreements between committee members from different parties.

The proceedings kick off at 10am.
