Fitbit shrinks the Alta HR but crams a lot more tech inside it

Fitness tracker heavyweight Fitbit has revealed details surrounding its latest wearable, the Alta HR.

As you may have guessed from the name the wearable sports a continous heart-rate tracker but what you may not have guessed is that the Alta can also track your sleeping patterns.

This, Fitbit say, can give users valuable insight into their sleeping patterns and could help to identify underlying sleep conditions that should be discussed with a doctor.

The Alta also features Fitbit’s PurePulse technology which allows the wearable to automatically detect whether the user is exercising or sleeping.

What’s more is that the Alta HR is now 25% slimmer than the Charge 2.

As you might expect the Alta HR can be paired with the Fitbit app on Android, iOS and Windows devices to offer great insights into your work out and sleeping patterns.

The new Fitbit Alta HR will be available in April 2017 with the price still to be confirmed.
