The Grand Theft Auto V mod community never ceases to amaze us.

Over the years we’ve seen them create a Hulkbuster, awesome stunts and even music videos. But we never thought anyone would be ambitious enough to attempt a full length movie using the game. That is, until this morning.

Yes, you read that correctly.

A Russian team of creators called Kramer Media has made a full movie – that is, an abridged version of Terminator 2 – using GTA V. There are several scenes from the original missing, but for the most part the remake of James Cameron’s blockbuster is very sweet indeed. Most important is the fact that it hits all the top beats of the original movie – the storm drain chase and the shootout in the asylum among them.

Hey don’t take our word for it – have a look below:

It’s worth pointing out that the movie’s original dialogue has been dubbed over in Russian, but this film is probably so familiar to most of us that you’ll recall what the characters are saying to each other in every frame. Even if you can’t, the English soundtrack running underneath is audible enough anyway.

Kramer Media aren’t being stingy with its work, by the way. If you fancy downloading and using some of the assets that these creative souls have custom made for their movie – such as the Terminator’s Winchester shotgun, his Harley Davidson Fatboy or any skins (Arnie, John Connor or the T-1,000) – available for download on this site right here.
