The reason this week’s edition of the htxt.africast is late is entirely my fault and I apologise.

A perfect storm of events delayed the editing of the podcast but we have endured and we present you with your weekly dose of tech news in aural format. We also have a special guest on in the form of Deon Du Plessis.

This week I take a look at the so-called Blue Whale challenge and explain what is going and whether an app that instructs teens to commit acts of self harm actually exists.

Then both Nick and Deon have been playing Arkane Studios latest game, Prey. Players will either love or hate it and if you aren’t sure which side of the fence you fall, take a listen and perhaps we can help you make a decision.

That’s it for this week, let’s hope that next week’s podcast isn’t delayed.
