Well here’s an odd bit of news: Papers, Please – an indie hit from 2013 – is being adapted into a short film.
This comes from a Tweet by developer Lucas Pope on Twitter, with four images from the set.
We don’t have any trailer or teaser to watch right now, only the names of those creating it. Nikita and Liliya Ordynskiy are those mentioned by Pope, and you can watch work by them by clicking on their names (thanks for the links, PC Gamer).
We’re not entirely sure why now is the time for this to be made, especially when Pope himself has moved on to other projects in the form of Return of the Obra Dinn. That being said, we think that’s it’s a great premise for this kind of film and we’ll definitely give it our time when it’s released.
