New Pokémon games were officially announced during a special Nintendo Direct event held yesterday and will build upon the existing Pokémon Sun and Moon world on Nintendo 3DS.

Additionally, Pokkén Tournament DX  has been announced for the Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will launch on the 17th of November 2017 worldwide for Nintendo 3DS systems. Players will return to the Alola region and the new games will feature Pokémon not included in the original titles which launched late last year. Mysterious new forms of the game’s legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala can be seen along with various new characters and a familiar Pikachu.

GameFreak’s Junichi Masuda teased more information to be released later this year.

Pokkén Tournament DX will release on Nintendo Switch on the 22nd of September 2017 and judging from the video above, will feature numerous new Pokémon along with the ability to play the game on the go using the Nintendo Switch’s handheld mode.
