Small printer, big value
The Brother MFC-J3720 is an A3 inkjet printer that doesn’t have that large of a footprint, but it sure packs quite a punch regardless.
Being able to print A3 and A4 means that there are a few more moving parts and print speeds do suffer as a result. But only a bit: the J3720 prints colour at 20 pages per minute while black and white improves that speed to 22 pages per minute.
The J3720 is perfectly suited to a business that needs high quality scans with the printer being able to scan documents at up to 2 400 x 2 4000 dpi, and create searchable PDFs.
The printer houses all of the connectivity features you would hope to find including Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port and printing from USB storage.
The Brother is rather expensive at R5 375, but you are paying for the ability to print A3 and the small footprint relative to other A3 printers – just the kind of feature an office with little free desk space needs.
This printer, then, is perfect for a medium-size business that requires large format prints but doesn’t necessarily print at volume or require high speed printing.
