The folks over at Stream.Digital and BBM Messenger (operated by Creative Media Works) have launched a new product today called STAGE360.

Billed as a “mobile music and content service” STAGE360 forms part of the BBM Discover services which include News, DiscoverTV, Football365 and Games among others.

The key difference with STAGE360 is that it revolves around your music. Not the music you listen to, but music you create.

Users create a profile on STAGE360 and submit a song or video that they can make available for other users to discover.

Once uploaded, the video is moderated to insure there is no nudity, hate speech or other nasty stuff contained within and if everything is above board your video lands on STAGE360.

From there the community can up or down vote your video or song. It’s actually a rather cool idea.

“This service takes into account the evolution of social media and the popularity of messaging apps as the go-to place in the digital environment. STAGE360 Music is a particular example of how we can give potential artists the tools, functionality and features to create a profile, share their music, and engage with their fans in an organic social environment,” says CEO of Creative Media Works Matthew Talbot.

STAGE360 is available now in the BBM Messenger which is available for Android and iOS.
